Ballinteer (Baile na tSaoir) is located at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains in the D16 postal area.
Ballinteer is only 7km from the city centre and also close to the M50 and access to the national road network. Public transport in the area is excellent - including numerous bus routes and Dundrum Luas station which is only a short distance away.
A few minutes walk from Ballinteer is the recently restored Marlay House and its walled lands, Marlay Park - a hugely popular amenity for Dubliners. No less than 7 golf courses are within 2.5 miles of Ballinteer and there is a wide choice of GAA, tennis, rugby and soccer grounds, all within close proximity.
The area has a good choice of educational institutions such as Ballinteer Community School and Our Lady’s Boys and Girls schools. UCD Belfield is also just a short journey away.
